DREW TWIN WRITES BOOK.... "TALE OF THE TIGER"
ORDER NOW....  PARTIAL PROCEEDS RETURNED TO ASSOCIATION!

Frances  (Fran) Drew of the Drew Twins, who have supported us so well over the years, has written an interesting book about her years during the fifties as a Flying Tiger Airline flight attendant.  The airline was an outgrowth of the Flying Tiger Fighter Squadron made up of volunteers who fought the Japanese in China.  Fran and June were graduates of the class of 1947 and are well remembered for their beauty and as cheerleaders.  Fran’s book is titled, “TALE OF THE TIGER.”   Fran and her sister June were fashion models for Hartzfeld's Department Store, toured with Stan Kenton, and appeared on the Jack Benny radio show.  Fran also appeared on the Gunsmoke radio show.   The book is about Fran’s encounter with an arrogant Flying Tiger captain.  She was nearly fired for “mutiny over the high seas.”  Our Newsletter, The Purple and White, is mentioned in her book.

Fran has offered to return a portion of proceeds of books sold in Kansas City.  Her book sells for $15 and is available at Barnes and Noble.  However, Fran will autograph the book if it ordered directly from her.
