The weekend began Friday at noon with a Luncheon for the Girls of the Class of 1957 held at German Restaurant on the Independence Square...Approximately 30 Ladies were in attendance.
Friday
evening there was a Reunion Party & Reception at the Adams
Pointe, Courtyard by Marriott, in Blue Springs, MO. The evening was a casual affair.
Classmates and friends renewed acquaintance and recalled
memories
of not so long ago. There was approximately 70 in
attendance.
Saturday morning, there was at tour of the High School Building
and Alumni Room....
Saturday evening was the highlight of the Reunion weekend. A
Celebration Dinner was held at the Adams Pointe, Courtyard by
Marriott, in Blue Springs, MO with 150+ in attendance. Some Alumni displayed their
memorabilia and souvenirs on the table of memories.
The evening's festivities were led by Angelo Tosti, who served
as Emcee. A special guest helped in reminicing about those
school days and led the group in the singing of the school song,
"Thou Dear Northeast"... None other than Jim Cariddi.
Jerry Snider, a representative of the Alumni Association was in attendance to show the class a slideshow of the history of the school... Then & Now... It also included a special segment that showed pictures taken from the class of 1957.
The Alumni Association also supported the reunion by displaying a table of Logo Items that were for sale.
Entertainment for dancing was supplied by a local Disc Jockey and there were intermittent drawings for special prizes throughout the evening...
A professional group photo was taken of the '57 Alumni and
distributed later to each Alumni at the reunion. Throughout the
evening much of the evenings activity was video taped and will
be available soon.
The conclusion to the weekend celebration was a Breakfast Brunch
Buffet, Sunday Morning, at the hotel with approximately 65 in
attendance...
The 1957 Class of Northeast High School Alumni 50th Year Reunion
celebration was fun, emotional, and a memorable event.
